My name is Peter Vanderpool. Many know me as Santa Claus. Others know me as a storyteller, a child advocate, an entrepreneur, a teacher, a student, a writer, a Christian, a husband or a friend. I am all of these things. Together they make up the tapestry of my identity and bring meaning to my life.
As a storyteller, I am interested in where stories come from and how they change our lives. My desire to help others tell their stories led me to become a story gatherer.
As a life-long spiritual seeker, I am interested in where faith comes from and where spirit resides. I have come to view life - everyone's life - as a faith journey. Happily, many teachers have blazed trails for us to folllow, and yet each of us must find our own way. My faith journey is firmly rooted in the Christian tradition.
Pierre Teilhard de Chardin said, "We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience." Remembering and honoring both the human and spiritual paths could change your life, and possibly the lives of others.
